The University Hospital’s laboratory at the Circle, Zurich Airport, offers, in cooperation with the Institute of Clinical Chemistry (IKC) and the Laboratory of the Clinic for Hematology (HAD), laboratory tests that are urgently required for triage, further diagnostics or therapy for the patients treated at the USZ health centre at USZ Flughafen. Wherever feasible, the same analytical methods are used as in the laboratories of the USZ main campus, so that patient care can rotate between the different locations without any compromises from the laboratory medicine perspective. Laboratory samples for tests that cannot be carried out on site are forwarded to the laboratories at USZ Campus or the UZH in a timely manner and under the required preanalytical conditions.
