Institute of Pathology and Molecular Pathology

We cover the entire range of morphological diagnoses (analysis of tissue samples). We are also responsible for training and further education in the field of pathology. The institute consists of the departments histopathology/autopsy, cytopathology, pedopathology, in-situ techniques and diagnostic molecular pathology. Clinically oriented research with molecular methods constitutes a key focus of our institute.

Laboratories and services

Our services include morphologic (macroscopic, histological, cytological, electron microscopic), histochemical, immune-histochemical, biochemical and molecular-biological examinations of all organs.

There are several laboratories for histological and cytological as well as for special investigations. In the department is a patient ambulatory for fine needle puncture. The optinal asservation of the services immediate processing and evaluation ensure highest quality.
