Our research spans from clinical studies in the hospital setting to molecular biology in the Center of Experimental Rheumatology, where physicians closely work together with scientists of different backgrounds. This structure allows us to cover the full spectrum of medical research, from comprehensive pre-clinical studies that provide the functional portfolio for innovative therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, to clinical observational studies and phase 2/3 clinical trials.
We have 11 research groups with clinical and/or translational nature, headed by scientifically independent principal investigators. Our research groups have been distinguished as a “Center of Excellence” by the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR).
The Clinical Trials Unit is concerned with the development of drug therapies for various diseases.
We are constantly looking for qualified Master students.
