Forschungsgebiet Interventionelles Lungenzentrum
Die wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte von PD Dr. Franzen resp. des Interventionellen Lungenzentrums umfassen insbesondere die klinische Forschung im Bereich der bronchoskopischen Lungenvolumenreduktion beim Emphysem sowie die Erforschung von Behandlungsmethoden von gut- und bösartigen Atemwegsstenosen. Eher kleinere Forschungsprojekte befassen sich mit der Diagnostik von Lungenkrebs und der Behandlung der Sarkoidose.
