Research at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich

CCCZ integrates and supports all cancer research activities of the University of Zurich, the University Hospital Zurich, the Balgrist University Hospital and the University Children’s Hospital Zurich. The overall aim is to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts towards precision oncology.

As an interdisciplinary research platform, CCCZ facilitates cutting edge research on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of cancer, the establishment of novel technologies and the development of innovative clinical trials.

Dedicated CCCZ research areas have been established for Tumor Immunology, (Epi)Genetics & Genomics, Oncogenic Signaling and Imaging, Technology Development and Digitalization. In these areas, scientists and physicians from around 60 research groups and clinical departments work closely together to facilitate the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical application.

Translational cancer programs combine innovative clinical oncology, research, technologies and medical bioinformatics to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts towards precision oncology.
