Offer HIV Treatment

Would you like to participate in an HIV clinical trial?

Our HIV clinic actively contributes to the development of new HIV therapies. We offer patients the opportunity to participate in clinical trials of new HIV drugs and thus contribute to HIV research.

We are currently seeking patients who are newly diagnosed with HIV and have not yet started HIV therapy and are interested in participating in the DOMINO study. This study is investigating the efficacy and safety of a new class of drugs for HIV, called a maturation inhibitor, in combination with two commonly used HIV drugs.

Patients who are already on HIV treatment can also participate in the study. In the MK-13 study, we are investigating a combination of two new HIV drugs that only need to be taken once a week instead of once a day. If you are interested in this study, please feel free to contact your HIV specialist or the study team.

Recruitment has been completed for another study, the SOLAR study. This study will compare the effectiveness and safety of two new medications, called long-acting medications, given as an injection into the gluteal muscle every two months with standard treatment.

Prior to participation in each study, our medical team will carefully evaluate whether it would be safe and appropriate for you in the context of your medical history and current treatment. We welcome you to contact the study team at infektiologie@usz.ch or directly at emily.west@usz.ch or dominique.braun@usz.ch.
