Department of Internal Medicine
The Department of Internal Medicine and its Inpatient and Outpatient Division specialize in the integrative and comprehensive management of patients with multiple concurrent conditions and complex disease situations. In addition, the Department also provides specialized consultants and clinics in hypertension, overweight, inflammatory diseases and storage diseases.
The Department of Internal Medicine focuses on finding diagnoses for patients with unexplained symptoms, on caring for patients with complex or multiple conditions, and on providing treatment within a few further specialist areas. Furthermore, the Department deals with patients that encounter health problems due to work and environment.
The care provided by the Department of Internal Medicine is integrated, based on human values and of high quality. The work of our team of competent experts is based on the latest scientific evidence. The Department of Internal Medicine is divided into a number of different sections, including outpatient and inpatient areas and various specialist clinics:
- Iron overlaod diseases
- Unexplained systemic inflammation
- Systemic vasculitis
- eosinophilia related diseases
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Susceptibility to infection – immune deficiency
- Occupational and Environmental Medicine
- Anorexia
