Department of Nephrology
The department of Nephrology at University Hospital Zurich offers a complete range of diagnostics as well as inpatient and outpatient treatment of acute and chronic renal diseases.
We treat adults with all forms of acute and chronic kidney disease. This also includes follow-up treatment after a kidney transplant. We carry out hemodialysis treatments at our dialysis unit. In the peritoneal dialysis center, we treat and instruct patients with chronic renal insufficiency on an outpatient basis. We mainly carry out research in the fields of kidney transplants and genetically defined renal disorders.
