Bone density is measured using a modern bone densitometer. In addition, there is the possibility of simultaneous vertebral fracture diagnostics (Vertebral Fracture Assessment) and measurement of body composition (fat mass/bone mass/lean mass).
By means of ultrasound, joints, tendons and ligaments can be examined for inflammatory or degenerative changes without radiation or pain.
