Stroke Center

A stroke is an emergency where every minute counts! It is therefore important that you act quickly and dial the emergency number 144 immediately.

When using certain treatments, there is only a window of 4.5 hours between the onset of symptoms and treatment measures. If this time is used, the chances of surviving and leaving the hospital without permanent damage or disability are improved.

Stroke Centers and Stroke Units in Switzerland

The Stroke Center at the University Hospital Zurich is one of a total of 10 stroke centers in Switzerland. In each Stroke Center, a team specializing in the treatment of stroke patients works around the clock.
