Illnesses can pose major challenges. Support is helpful in some cases, for example for social problems in private or professional life. This is why the University Hospital Zurich offers its social services.
Social services perform an important role in the healing and treatment process by helping patients cope with social problems. Sometimes a simple conversation, combined with the expertise of our staff helps us find a solution together.
In case of illness, accident, pregnancy or nursing care, we will clarify your individual support needs under consideration of your social situation. We want to work with you to find an appropriate form of care that meets your needs. We advise and support you and your family in all matters concerning your hospital stay, treatment program planning, rehabilitation or home care.
Advice on technical and legal issues related to illness, accident, pregnancy and birth is also available. We are dedicated to organizing and providing aftercare and social reintegration. We are also happy to assist you with questions about personal issues or economic constraints.
